The objects of the charity are:
- Providing relief and welfare for those with diabetes ( and their families), and its related complications.
- Promoting research into the nature, causes, prevention and treatment of diabetes, including self-management.
- Promoting education and increasing public awareness of diabetes.
Help Support Us
As the SDA, we’re extending our reach by offering items from our shops on platforms like Buy Charity and eBay. This not only provides more accessibility for customers but also increases our potential to support causes we believe in through these sales. Whether it’s unique clothing, small electricals, books or collectibles donations are always accepted – and shoppers can find a wide range of treasures while contributing to our mission. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
When donating, and if you are a U.K tax payer, please sign up to our Gift Aid scheme. From every £1 from sales of your donation we receive 25p from the U.K government.
You can support The Solent Diabetes Asscn. and be in with a chance to win up to £25,000. Go to the Fareham Lottery website and search for Solent Diabetes. By spending £1 a week , 40p goes to our charity and you could win big.
Our Caravan
We have a 6 berth caravan at Church Farm, Pagham, W.Sussex PO21 4NR on a Haven site. We rent it out to families in the Hampshire area who have at least one family member with diabetes. By investing in bonds we are able to subsidise the rent.
Currently rates are between £200 and £400 per family week. Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools,a restaurant and entertainment venue. There is also plenty to do for the children.
It is only a short journey to Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Chichester by car or bus. For more info please email: solentdiabetes@gmx.com
